The sapphire mines at Bang Kacha produce some of the world's finest yellow and orange sapphires. The village of Bang Kacha is situated in the Thai  province of Chanthaburi. Read more here or pictures  here ...

 

 

Pailin is situated on the western side of Cambodia close to the Thai boarder. Pailin produces very fine, clean blue sapphires and iron-rich rubies.

Bo Ploi in Kanchanaburi has been a major source of blue sapphires for many years. There are still a few smaller scale operations which occasionally produce fine, large sized blue sapphires.
